«La Reina Margot» is the 1994 film by Patrice Chéreau, starring Isabelle Adjani, Daniel Auteuil and Jean-Hugues Anglade, on DVD.
France, 1572. Marguerite de Valois, sister of King Charles IX, marries the Protestant Henry of Navarre for political reasons. The wedding does not stem religious tensions and the court fills with conspiracies when the St Bartholomew's Day massacre erupts. Margot hides a wounded young Huguenot and falls in love with him.
The DVD edition includes Spanish and French among its languages and subtitles; it runs 138 minutes. Based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas.
