Dean Corso, a rare book expert, is hired by collector Boris Balkan to authenticate a satanic invocation book called "The Nine Gates of the Kingdom of Shadows". His investigation takes him across Europe, where he faces dangers, temptations, and unexpected deaths as he tries to unravel the enigmas of the cursed book. Adapted from Arturo Pérez-Reverte's novel "The Club Dumas", this Roman Polanski film immerses the viewer in a labyrinth of suspense and mystery.
