The Quiet Room is a drama film directed by Rolf de Heer. The story focuses on a 7-year-old girl who withdraws into herself and refuses to speak as her parents' relationship deteriorates. Through her eyes, we see the dissolution of a marriage and her growing alienation. Her only escape is her room, a refuge where she can remember happier times and dream of a better future.
