«La duda» (Doubt) is the film by John Patrick Shanley (2008), starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, on DVD.
It is 1964 and Sister Aloysius, the rigid principal of a Catholic school, distrusts the charismatic Father Flynn and his relationship with a student, whom she believes he is treating inappropriately. The suspicion unleashes a conflict of authority and conscience in which faith, doubt and the search for truth intertwine.
DVD edition from Miramax Films, regions 1 and 4, with original English version and Spanish subtitles. Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play; it received five Oscar nominations.
