«La confiance règne» is the film by Étienne Chatiliez (2005), starring Vincent Lindon and Cécile de France, on DVD.
Chrystèle and Christophe, domestic workers with no education or scruples, get by cheerfully in other people's homes. They distrust everyone, but a bond forms between them; his limited intelligence and her tolerated infidelities test their idea of love. The film is a satire on class and human relationships.
Film in French; Belgian DVD edition published by Vidéodis.
For those who appreciate French satirical comedy and stories about unconventional couples, trust and social differences.
