«La Burla del Diablo» is the 1953 John Huston film starring Humphrey Bogart, Jennifer Jones and Gina Lollobrigida, on DVD.
In a coastal Italian town, several characters from different backgrounds meet a penniless couple of adventurers while waiting for a ship bound for Africa, where they hope to get rich thanks to a supposed uranium deposit. The journey goes awry amid entanglements and double games, and the expedition ends up as a satire of adventure films with cynical humour and sharp dialogue.
The disc is a black-and-white PAL DVD-5, with Dolby Digital sound, tracks in Spanish and English and Spanish subtitles; approximate running time: 90 minutes.
