«La Batalla del Río Neretva» is the 1969 war film starring Yul Brynner and Orson Welles, on DVD.
During the Second World War, Yugoslav partisans resist the advance of Hitler's army. A bridge over the Neretva River is the only route of communication with an important contingent of fighters; to stop the enemy, the partisans destroy it and continue the fight on the banks, with no possibility of retreat, while the German command believes they are trapped.
