«Knuckle» is Ian Palmer's documentary about bare-knuckle fights among Irish nomadic clans, released by Revolver Entertainment on DVD (in English).
Ian Palmer spent over twelve years with the Joyce and Quinn-McDonagh families, two Irish traveller clans bound by a feud settled through bare-knuckle boxing matches. The film shows how the men of both clans exchange threatening videos and meet on remote roads to fight, with James McDonagh as one of the most charismatic figures. The story explores honour, loyalty, and a violent tradition passed down through generations.
British DVD edition for region 2, single-sided, rated 15 in the UK (BBFC).
Recommended for those seeking a non-fiction documentary about boxing, travelling traditions, and real family conflicts.
