«Kadosh» is the film by Amos Gitai (1999), starring Yael Abecassis and Yoram Hattab, on DVD.
In an Orthodox Jewish community in Jerusalem, Meir must repudiate his wife Rivka for not giving him children after ten years of marriage. His sister Malka, in love with Yaakov, is forced to marry Yosef. Both stories show the weight of tradition and faith over personal desires.
This edition presents the original Hebrew version with Spanish subtitles (V.O.S.), in PAL format, runs 102 minutes and is published by Divisa HV; not recommended for viewers under 18.
Aimed at an adult audience, it will appeal to those who follow Israeli cinema and dramas about tradition and personal freedom.
