Johnny Suede is a cult comedy from the 90s written and directed by Tom DiCillo. The film follows Johnny Suede, an innocent dreamer with plenty of attitude who aspires to become a rock star like his idol, Ricky Nelson. However, his dreams are challenged as he faces the harsh realities of life, learning valuable lessons from characters like the arrogant rock star Freak Storm, played by Nick Cave, and Yvonne, a down-to-earth teacher who helps him see the world beyond his gravity-defying quiff and cherished suede shoes.
