Synopsis of Instinto

Inside the intelligent mind of Ethan Powell (Anthony Hopkins) hides a terrible secret, a deep mystery unsolved by his family, estranged from him, or by the law enforcement agents who have been following him and who have arrested him for a series of crimes that occurred in the jungles of Rwanda. With a vast education, Powell's truth is hidden after years of studying mountain gorillas, to the point of having lived with them in the middle of nature and having been accepted as one of their own. Now, captive in a brutal prison for mentally ill criminals, Powell, who has not spoken a single word for years, is undergoing treatment by psychiatrist Theo Caulder (Cuba Gooding, Jr.). Caulder's unlimited ambition leads him to risk, putting his life to the limit, with the ultimate goal of trying to understand the actions of this headline-grabbing madman. Thus, both men embark on an extraordinary journey, driven by their insatiable search for the truth, regardless of its cost.
