«Himalaya» is the adventure and drama film directed by Eric Valli (1999), on DVD.
In a remote valley of Tibet, a caravan of herders sets out on the salt route across mountain passes to trade it for grain. The journey becomes a test of endurance against extreme weather and a clash between the experience of an old chief and the impulsiveness of a young herder: a story about tradition, honour and survival.
