The criminal Max Truemont and his gang kidnap David, the son of a very rich woman, and lock him in a large house while they wait for the ransom. During the wait, suspicions and betrayals surface, and the boy's strange behaviour, along with the wolves surrounding the house, turns the plan into a nightmare: the kidnappers end up being the prisoners.
