Based on an incredible true story, 'Hacksaw Ridge' is a war film directed by Mel Gibson that tells the story of Desmond Doss, a U.S. Army medic who, due to his religious convictions, refuses to carry weapons in World War II. Despite this, he enlists as a medic and participates in the Battle of Okinawa, where he saves the lives of numerous soldiers, becoming a hero without firing a single shot. The film stands out for its rawness in showing the horrors of war, as well as for its message of faith, courage, and conviction.
