Synopsis of Gamer

In a not-too-distant future, Kabel is a death-row inmate who has involuntarily become a pop culture icon. Every week, millions of viewers tune in to watch him and hundreds of other inmates fight each other as pawns in an online game called Slayers, invented by tech genius Ken Castle. From their homes, wealthy young gamers control Kabel and the other characters as if they were synthetic avatars in a video game. But Kabel is not just the idol of these players and viewers; he has also become the icon of the resistance movement opposing the game's cruelty.
