«Funny Games» is the film by Michael Haneke (2007), starring Naomi Watts, Tim Roth and Michael Pitt, on DVD.
A family on holiday at their lakeside house receives a visit from two polite young men who turn their stay into a nightmare of sadistic games and violence. Haneke delivers a shot-for-shot remake of his own 1997 film, now set in an American environment, with the same suffocating atmosphere and his critique of media violence.
DVD region 2 (PAL) with audio in Spanish, English and French. Rental edition distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment España.
For adults: a provocative thriller for those who appreciate Haneke's cinema and his critical view of violence in the media.
