«Fuenteovejuna» is the ballet by Antonio Gades (2012), starring Cristina Carnero, Ángel Gil and Joaquín Mulero, on DVD.
The ballet tells of the rebellion of the villagers of Fuenteovejuna against a commander who abuses his power. When the judge sent by the Catholic Monarchs asks who killed him, everyone answers «Fuenteovejuna did it». Gades's choreography combines flamenco and Spanish dance with music by Antón García Abril and Mussorgsky.
