«Escape from Alcatraz» is the American suspense film by Don Siegel (1979), starring Clint Eastwood, on DVD.
Clint Eastwood plays Frank Morris, one of the three prisoners who in 1962 carried out the escape from Alcatraz along with the Anglin brothers. The film reconstructs with a suspenseful pulse the planning of the flight from a maximum-security prison.
The film adapts the homonymous book by J. Campbell Bruce, published in 1963. The DVD edition is distributed by Paramount Pictures.
A classic of prison cinema highly valued by viewers, especially by fans of Clint Eastwood and of the seventies thriller.
