«En el hoyo» is the documentary by Juan Carlos Rulfo (2006), on DVD.
The documentary follows a group of workers during the construction of a large urban project in Mexico City and portrays their working conditions, their conversations, and their life outside working hours. Through their testimonies, Rulfo builds a close-up view of a part of the city that usually remains off-screen.
The cover cites the Karlovy Vary and Sundance festivals in 2006, BAFICI in 2005, and a comment by Guillermo del Toro.
Intended for viewers of social documentary film interested in urban Mexico and in the stories of those who build the city.
