«El último» is the silent film by F. W. Murnau (1924), starring Emil Jannings, Maly Delschaft and Max Hiller, on DVD.
A classic of German silent cinema, known for its revolutionary use of the camera. It tells how the elderly doorman of a grand hotel, proud of his uniform and respected by all, is demoted to washroom attendant; hiding his new condition only accelerates the loss of his identity and dignity.
This special collector's edition from Divisa Home Video, in the Orígenes del Cine collection, presents the complete version restored by the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Stiftung; 90 minutes in black and white with Spanish subtitles.
For fans of classic and silent cinema; one of the most influential works in film history for its expressive use of the camera.
