«El Somni» is the documentary film by Christophe Farnarier, released on DVD by Cameo in 2014.
The documentary follows Joan «Pipa», one of the last transhumant shepherds, on his journey to the Catalan Pyrenees. It shows his relationship with nature and reflects on the decline of an age-old tradition, threatened by the abandonment of the land, industrialisation, urban growth and climate change.
It offers sound in Spanish (Dolby Digital 5.1), subtitles in Spanish, French and English, and a running time of 77 minutes.
For those seeking documentaries about vanishing trades and the relationship between human beings and nature.
