«El Proceso» is the film by Orson Welles starring Anthony Perkins, Romy Schneider and Jeanne Moreau, on DVD.
A man wakes up with the police in his room and is arrested without explanation; from then on he finds himself immersed in a Kafkaesque judicial system where the rules elude him. The film, an adaptation of Franz Kafka's novel, turns that bureaucratic nightmare into a tale about absurdity and powerlessness before power.
The DVD edition corresponds to region 2 and uses PAL format; the country of origin indicated is Spain.
For those interested in Kafka adaptations and Orson Welles' cinema, with a taste for oppressive atmospheres.
