The Spirit of the Beehive is a 1973 Spanish film directed by Víctor Erice. The story takes place in 1940, in a small town on the Castilian plateau, where the arrival of a truck projecting the film 'Frankenstein' awakens the imagination of two sisters, especially the youngest, who establishes a disturbing relationship with the monster. The film explores themes such as childhood, the Spanish post-war period, and the influence of cinema on the perception of reality.
