«Ein Lied in Gottes Ohr» is the French comedy by Fabrice Eboué (2017), starring Ramzy Bedia, Fabrice Eboué and Guillaume de Tonquedec, on DVD.
Nicolas, an unsuccessful music producer, forms a pop-rock band with a priest, a rabbi and an imam to bring them back to fame and build bridges between religions. The group, called Coexister, tries to fit into an industry that doesn't know how to sell their message while friction, misunderstandings and absurd moments arise. The film combines music, irreverent humour and a satirical look at interfaith coexistence.
Directed and co-starred by Fabrice Eboué, the cast includes Audrey Lamy and Jonathan Cohen. The DVD edition features audio in German and French (Dolby Digital 5.1) and German subtitles; running time 86 min and rated for ages 12 and up.
Suitable for those seeking a French comedy with sharp humour about religion, fame and coexistence in today's France, with cameos from the comedy scene and a mockumentary musical aesthetic.
