In this star-studded ensemble comedy directed by Robert Altman, Richard Gere plays a frantically overworked, socially in-demand gynecologist whose life is coming apart at the seams. As his wife regresses into a childlike state and his daughter's wedding preparations descend into chaos, he finds himself falling for his new golf pro, played by Helen Hunt. It is a funny, smart, and fascinating look at the mounting complications in the doctor's life.
