«Días de agosto» is the film by Marc Recha (2006), starring Marc Recha, David Recha and Mariona Ordóñez, on DVD.
Road movie: twin brothers Marc and David travel through inland Catalonia in a van during a summer. The younger sister's voice-over, like a fairy tale for adults, guides the narration. Along the way they cross paths with locals and drifting travellers, in a landscape marked by drought, and the story of a catfish in the Mequinensa reservoir emerges.
Published by Lauren Films Video Hogar on DVD, region 2, with audio in Spanish and Catalan and subtitles in Spanish, English and French. Suitable for all audiences.
For those interested in Spanish auteur cinema and road movies with rural landscapes and drifting characters.
