When the very respectable General Dumont discovers that his daughter Agnes is "AD," the author of an outrageous over-the-counter novel, he wants her to be sent to a convent, but she escapes to Paris and plans to live with her brother, apparently a wealthy artist but actually a bad guide at the Balzac Museum. This misunderstanding puts her in serious trouble, and Agnes finds herself in immediate need of money. Only the amount offered as a prize at an amateur striptease contest that her new boyfriend, reporter Daniel, is covering for her magazine, could help.
