«Brimstone & Treacle» is the 1982 drama film starring Sting, Joan Plowright and Denholm Elliott, on DVD.
A con man named Martin Taylor, played by Sting, insinuates himself into a family's home by claiming he knew their daughter, catatonic after an accident. His obsession with her shatters the household's apparent calm. The film adapts a Dennis Potter play that was recorded for television but never broadcast due to its controversial subject matter.
Released in November 1982, in original English version and rated for ages 18 and over.
Aimed at adults, it will appeal to fans of British drama and to those who appreciate Dennis Potter's controversial works.
