Set in a futuristic, rainy Los Angeles, the film follows Rick Deckard, a blade runner who must locate and retire a group of rebel replicants. This director's cut version omits the protagonist's voice-over narration and incorporates scenes, such as the unicorn, that deepen the story's dilemmas: the replicants' humanity and Deckard's own possible nature. The edition includes Vangelis's original score and an ending closer to the spirit of the novel that inspired it.
