«Best of the West Collection» is a DVD box set with «Unforgiven», by Eastwood; «The Searchers», by Ford; and «The Wild Bunch», by Peckinpah.
Three westerns with opposing approaches: the revision of the Western myth in «Unforgiven», the frontier epic of «The Searchers» and the violent rawness of «The Wild Bunch». The selection shows the evolution of the genre, from John Ford's classicism to Clint Eastwood's revisionism, with Sam Peckinpah as a counterpoint.
The cover of «Unforgiven» displays the Academy Award for Best Picture. Box edition with 3 discs, imported from the UK, region 2 and BBFC 18 rating.
For collectors and fans of classic cinema who want three reference western titles.
