The film follows Giuseppe, a 75-year-old man who has spent thirty years working in Switzerland and returns to his native Puglia to get the money for an eye operation needed by his seven-year-old granddaughter. The road trip between countries also becomes an emotional journey about migration, family ties and dignity in old age.
