«America, America» is the film by Elia Kazan starring Stathis Giallelis, Frank Wolff and Elena Karam, on DVD.
Stavros, a young Greek from Anatolia at the end of the 19th century, lives under the control of a traditional family that decides his future. His only desire is to emigrate to the United States and, to achieve this, he travels to Constantinople to raise the 110 Turkish pounds that the passage costs. Elia Kazan brought to the screen this story inspired by his uncle's emigration.
