Teodoro, an engineer working as a teacher in Oklahoma, returns to Spain to enjoy a sabbatical year with his father Jimmy, who has just bought a motorcycle with sidecar. In a remote mountain village they discover a community ruled by the absurd, where masses, elections and foreign visitors turn their stay into a succession of surreal situations.
