About a Boy is a heartwarming British comedy-drama that tells the story of Will Freeman, a carefree, immature bachelor living off the royalties of a Christmas song written by his father. His life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Marcus, a quirky and somewhat misfit twelve-year-old boy, with whom he forms an unlikely friendship that helps them both grow and find new meaning in their lives. Directed by Paul and Chris Weitz and based on the bestselling novel by Nick Hornby, the film features a standout performance by Hugh Grant, alongside Toni Collette and Rachel Weisz, perfectly balancing British humor with deep emotional resonance.
