«A Hortobágy legendája» is the Hungarian drama film by Vitézy László (2007), starring Csányi Sándor, Eperjes Károly and Pokorny Lia, on DVD.
Three stories from the Hortobágy steppe intertwine: one inspired by Móricz Zsigmond's tale «Komor Ló» and two told by local inhabitants, set in 1945 and after the communist takeover. The film shows the life of the shepherds and asks how far the soul can forgive, without letting time erase the past.
DVD with 4:3 PAL picture, 2.0 stereo sound and 76 minutes running time, region 2. Original language in Hungarian, no subtitles. Advisory rating: ages 12 and over.
