Martin Buber was an Austrian-Israeli philosopher best known for his philosophy of dialogue, a form of existentialism centered on the distinction between the I–Thou relationship and the I–It relationship.

Martin Buber was an influential existentialist philosopher and theologian of Austrian origin.

His most famous work, I and Thou, is a fundamental pillar of the philosophy of religion.

In addition to his writing, he dedicated much of his life to translating the Bible.

Buber was noted for his deep interest in Hasidism and Jewish spirituality.
