«Van Gogh y Gauguin» is the art history essay by Douglas W. Druick and Peter Kort Zegers, published by Electa in hardback and in Spanish.
The book studies the personal and artistic relationship between Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin: their rival friendship, their time together in Arles in 1888, and the shared project of the Studio of the South. It analyses their mutual influence in the search for a personal style and follows their paths until Van Gogh's death in 1890 and Gauguin's final years in Polynesia.
Spanish-language edition with 575 illustrations, 400 in colour, linked to the exhibition organised by the Art Institute of Chicago and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
For readers interested in art history, Post-Impressionism and biographies of the great artists.
