«Un palacio en la Umbría» is the romantic novel by Marlena de Blasi, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (in Spanish).
The author tells how Marlena and her husband, Fernando, settle in Orvieto, in Umbria, in the former ballroom of a 16th-century palazzo. The neighbours are wary of her, but Marlena wins their affection by cooking. After two years of renovations, she prepares a banquet to bring neighbours and friends together.
The Spanish translation is by Alejandra Devoto and is based on the original English text.
