«Piet Mondrian: New York City» is a children's art book by Sophie Curtil, published by Cinco Tintas in hardback (32 pages, in Spanish).
The book offers a playful approach to 20th- and 21st-century art through a work from the Centre Pompidou. In this title, the author follows Piet Mondrian's creative process in New York: the city becomes a composition of red, yellow and blue rectangles, intersecting lines and cut-out silhouettes, leading to a refined geometry.
It belongs to the «El arte en juego» collection from the Centre Pompidou. The Spanish edition includes a translation by José Luis Díez Lerma.
For young children who want to discover modern and contemporary art in a playful and visual way.
