«Pandora» is Anne Rice's vampire novel, published by Ediciones B in hardback (303 pages, in Spanish).
In a café in present-day Paris, the vampire David Talbot convinces Pandora to tell her story. From her childhood among Roman patricians to her flight from Rome and her refuge in Antioch, Pandora evokes how her love for Marius led her to a vampiric existence.
First instalment of the New Tales of the Vampires series, originally published in 1998. This Spanish edition, translated by Camila Batlles, appeared in 1999.
The back cover presents it as an ideal work to introduce new readers to Anne Rice's vampire universe.
Anne Rice was an American author of Gothic fiction, erotic literature, and Bible fiction. She is best known for writing The Vampire Chronicles. She later adapted the first volume in the series into a commercially successful eponymous film, Interview with the Vampire (1994).
