«Mujeres contra la guerra» is the historical essay by Sara Gutiérrez and Eva Orúe, published by Belacqva in paperback (189 pages, in Spanish).
The essay documents the experience of Spanish women who, from Iraq, stood up to Bush and Aznar during the Iraq War. Sara Gutiérrez and Eva Orúe narrate their participation in that protest and offer a reflection on the female role in politics and the denunciation of gender-based violence in the conflict.
It appeared in 2003 in the Puertas Abiertas collection from Belacqva. Subtitle: «Las españolas que plantaron cara a Bush y Aznar desde Iraq».
For readers interested in recent Spanish history, the anti-Iraq War movement, and the role of women in political protest.
