«Marseille, Massilia» is a photography book by Etienne Revault with texts by Massilia Sound System, published by F. Truffaut (156 pages, in French).
It brings together photographs of Marseille taken by Etienne Revault and texts by the group Massilia Sound System. The images traverse the city and its urban surface, while the lyrics evoke Marseille reggae; together they trace a portrait of the city's popular culture, between the street, graffiti-covered walls and music.
Published in Paris in 2001; it is catalogued in the fields of French reggae music, song lyrics and pictorial representations of Marseille.
For readers interested in Marseille's urban culture, street photography and French reggae.
