«Los nuevos museos en España» is an essay by María Ángeles Layuno Rosas, published by Edilupa in paperback (125 pages, in Spanish).
The work examines renovated Spanish museums: the dialogue between their historic buildings and modern glass-and-steel extensions, the design of the galleries, and the museography. It also looks at how these institutions adapt to new cultural habits and the visitor's role in the exhibition space.
Published by Edilupa in 2002, it is a Spanish-language edition illustrated in colour and with a final bibliography.
Recommended for those interested in art, architecture and museology, and for anyone wanting to understand the transformation of museums in Spain.
