«Lord Louis Mountbatten, comte de Birmanie, amiral de la flotte: sa vie et son époque» is the biography written by John Terraine (264 pages, in French).
The work stems from the twelve television programmes that John Terraine presented and wrote, combining Lord Mountbatten's first-person narration with Terraine's historical analysis. It reviews the public career of the British military man and politician from the First World War, alternating personal memories and the political context of his time.
Published by Presses de la Cité in 1979, this paperback edition includes the translation by Rémy and photographic plates and black-and-white maps.
For those seeking biographies of twentieth-century political and military figures, with attention to British history and the Second World War.
