«Llamadas perdidas» is the microfiction book by Chilean author Pía Barros, published by Thule Ediciones in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
The work brings together more than seventy microfictions, almost all one page long, in which Pía Barros addresses politics, love and sex with lucid, lyrical prose. Her texts denounce oppression and injustice without forgetting humour, eroticism or wordplay, and condense an idea or experience.
The book was published in 2006 in Spain and is volume 14 of the Micromundos series.
It will appeal to those who enjoy short stories with political and lyrical weight, as well as readers who want to approach brief Chilean narrative.
