Vengeance is the only thing on the mind of Gervase Ashford, Earl of Rosthorn, when he meets the beautiful Lady Morgan Bedwyn. Under normal circumstances, the young aristocrat wouldn't have given her more than a passing glance, but this is an exceptional situation: Morgan is the sister of his worst enemy. A slightly tempting plan begins to take shape in Gervase's mind. Freedom is what Lady Morgan desires, in true Bedwyn fashion. She has long dreamed of marrying for love and is not about to become a pawn in the Earl's game. However, when she finds herself lost in the middle of the Battle of Waterloo, it is Gervase who becomes her unexpected ally.
