«Les fils de fondation» is a collective science fiction work in homage to Isaac Asimov, published by Presses de la Cité in 1993 in paperback, in French.
The volume brings together stories by authors such as Robert Silverberg, Connie Willis, Frederik Pohl and Orson Scott Card, inspired by Asimov's worlds: the Foundation, Trantor, the robots and the three laws of robotics. It opens with a preface by Ray Bradbury and an epilogue by Isaac Asimov himself.
The preliminary texts add a prelude by Jacques Goïmard and an introduction by Ben Bova; Janet Asimov also signs a closing text.
A title for admirers of Isaac Asimov and classic science fiction who want to see his universes reinterpreted by other authors of the genre.
