L'Art en 36 chiffres fous

Synopsis of L'Art en 36 chiffres fous

«L'Art en 36 chiffres fous» is a children's art book by Philippe Nessmann, published by Palette in paperback (43 pages, in French).

The book brings together 36 surprising records and anecdotes about art: why Claude Monet painted more than 250 water lily paintings, what the world's smallest sculpture is, or which Rembrandt work was stolen four times. Each figure leads into a short story about a work, an artist, or a museum.

The original French 2022 edition is catalogued as children's non-fiction, with recommended reading from age 8.

For young readers curious about art and history, especially if they enjoy fun facts and records from the art world.
