«La filosofía del management» is Oliver Sheldon's essay on business management, published by Ediciones Orbis in hardback (224 pages, in Spanish).
Sheldon analyses Taylorism and its contribution to the science of management, but warns that it must not eclipse the essentially human work of the executive. He rejects the idea that economic incentives alone explain workers' behaviour and anticipates the human relations approach in management theory.
Volume 6 of the Biblioteca de la Empresa collection. The original title of the work is The Philosophy of Management.
Aimed at readers interested in classical management theory, business management and the evolution of managerial thought.
