«Folk-lore o Cancionero salmantino» is the traditional music songbook by Dámaso Ledesma, published by Editorial Maxtor in paperback (260 pages, in Spanish).
The work gathers popular songs from Salamanca and rescues little-known or fallen-into-disuse melodies. Dámaso Ledesma turned to the area's elders, custodians of the cultural heritage, to set down in writing a legacy transmitted orally.
The edition was published in 2008 and its cover reproduces that of the 1907 edition, printed in Madrid, with the coat of arms of Salamanca.
For readers interested in folklore, ethnography and popular music from Castile and León.
